Has anyone in areas other than Fargo and Grand Forks heard any other PL Tones used other than 103.5 and 192.8 ??

I just came across the DOT trucks on this frequency this morning. The tone I got was 40B NAC.

Neither did I. I work in the oil field out here and am now taking my pro-106 along while on the road and found out that the ops channels are digital over here too. I will be submitting updates to the database shortly.

I have heard 788 NAC once in a while on the state radio freqs also....the new version of 192.8 pl i got the new info added to the db.

Interesting... I havent heard any digital DOT traffic in the bis man area yet.....
from what you heard though when you got the NAC code was it encrypted?

why the need for encrypted it point less it snow plows I seen there radio's and talked with my friend at the local radio shop. he told me there is not a DES chip in them it cost to much and what would be the point it is so sercret they need encryption for??

No, all the DOT traffic I've listened to has been in the clear in digital. Encryption would be a waste in my opinion.
