There is no guarantee that there isn't a problem with the updater. I have never used it on a PSR-500 or PSR-600 myself. If anyone has another copy of the updater please attach it for ofd354 to try.

Try cloning the scanner again now that you updated the firmware. If it still doesn't work, download the bad scanner into ARC500, do a Save As. and give it a name different than your regular programming file. I will take a look at the programming in the bad PSR-600. You will need to zip the .gr5 file to be able to attach it. Click on attach files and open the zipped file.

I saw that you had the same system programmed 4 times with the same name. The scanner may not know which system to use. I deleted 3 of the systems. I turned off Digital AGC. The AGC action can increase garbled audio problems when receiving a simulcast system. I also changed Multi-Site to Off since you are scanning only a single site. The scanner will not be looking for a different site. Try the new file and see if it works. Try turning the squelch knob fully counterclockwise. You can also try turning on the attenuator for the trunked system. Less signal often works better when receiving simulcast sites which the La Crosse trunked system uses. Extract the attached zipped file and upload to your scanner.

All you need to do is extract the attached zipped file in the Downloads folder. Right click on the file and click on Extract All. Click on Open in ARC500, go to the Downloads folder, and open the extracted file (bad scanner 2.gr5). ARC500 will be populated by the file. Go to the Scanner tab and click on Upload to Scanner to program the scanner.

If you cloned the scanner so that both have the same programming, I am beginning to believe you may have a scanner problem. Either it has lost 800 MHz reception or the reference oscillator has shifted frequency to the point that the scanner is no longer able to decode the P25 system. I sent a personal message to someone who is very familiar with the PSR-600 to see what his thoughts are.
