Does "no more Fastlane memberships" mean no further development?
Or just no sweet deliveries, you must come and download the software as it progresses?
It doesn't mean anything regarding development.
It means:
1. No more new signups for FL -- the number of FL users is plenty for troubleshooting and reporting bugs to squash
2. The new Public Release has all the same features as the current FL
Both FL and Public will continue to be updated for new features / bug fixes / whatever. But FL updates will always lead Public Release updates.
So those who are already FL members will get updates first.
Those who aren't already FL members will use the Public Release and will receive updates, but not necessarily as frequently.
The original public release had no mechanisms for updating via the app. The new Public Release has the same ability to be notified of new updates and download those updates for the user to apply, just like FL.
At least that is my understanding. The author WILL correct me if I'm wrong about any of this
