Trying to understand the DSDlus frequency file better - why is the transmit frequency needed in the DSDPlus frequency file?
Some examples have a 0 for it and others do not. Some appear to have factored the repeater off set in some of the exmples. This is for a Nextedge 4800 system.
Your time is appreciated.

You need the TX freq (repeater output) ; You do NOT need the RX (repeater input). But feel free to add it if you know its offset.

If you do NOT set the RX freq, it has to be 0. Same with Sort Order. If you want to specify a sort order, do so. If not, you at least need it to be 0

It expects 7 pieces of data, separated by commas. So you cannot omit anything. But you can set RX and Sort Order to 0.

I never put in inputs and some of my entries have the output (rx receive) in both fields and it seems to work either way.

; protocol, networkID, siteNumber, OTAchannelNumber, TXfrequency, RXfrequency, sortOrder

yep the RX makes no difference -- it can be correct, not correct, or 0. I always put the pair in (if I know the pair) just because i'm anal about crap like that. And technically, you are putting the TX (repeater output) in both fields of the one, not the RX. TX = repeater output; RX = repeater input.

So the frequencies listed in Radios Reference & the FCC Database are the Transmit Frequency - which makes
sense because you don't need a license to receive.

Freqs listed on fcc site will have transmit and receive on the license. Radio reference will show both transmit and receive as long as the show repeater inputs box is checked.

To be honest, if your messing around with DSDPlus you really only need any freqs that are in the Frequency column.

Pretty sure "show repeater inputs" is a premium feature only now.

Thanks for all the information - you all have given me a lot to smoke over on this rainy day in the South.
