Please visit DSDPlus – Digital Decoder and read the posts (there are only two of them).

If you are not a Fast Lane member but use the free version of DSDPlus, you should download the new version and have all of the features that current Fast Lane users (as of today) have.

If you are a Fast Lane member, you should wait for the next Fast Lane release, which is coming soon.

NOTE: whoever downloads the new Public Release, please be sure and unarchive it to a new, empty folder. Do not attempt to overwrite an existing Public Release or Fast Lane install or you are going to lose your data in all of the DSDplus.* files, etc.

VirusTotal shows DSDPlusFull.zip has 2 malware hits. I don't know if they are real or not.
Just did a scan myself and it looks like those malware hits come from a company called MaxSecure, which is awful and sketchy antivirus software straight out of India, known to throw out false positives. Don't be concerned. I'd be more concerned about using that antivirus software.

I mean, it's almost 2026. Who even still uses anything other than Microsoft's built-in defender crap.

oh boy that looks awesome. I had to change R1.bat into DSDPlus -r1 -i20001 >>1R-log.txt since it would fail and say device already in use. I have only 1 sdr-rtl unit. Thanks sooo much for the update.

Be sure to back up before you start and follow the directions at the beginning of the Notes file.
If you are starting out on the new Public version and have an issue, there are a couple ways to find the answer, search the notes file or search the posts here on RR. Some of these features have been in use for years so it is likely the question has been asked and answered before.

Had to download in Edge as Chrome fought be, initially thought it was Norton
I have the same problem, and I'm going to blame Chrome. The Chrome console says:

Mixed Content: The site at 'DSDPlus – Digital Decoder' was loaded over a secure connection, but the file at 'https://www.dsdplus.com/dsdplusuploads/PublicRelease/DSDPlusFull.zip' was redirected through an insecure connection.

This file should be served over HTTPS. See Protecting users from insecure downloads in Google Chrome for more details.

Strange, since if you browse to the website with Chrome you are forced to HTTPS. And the link in the post is HTTPS. In fact, if you were to right-click on the link in Chrome, copy it, and paste that link into anther Chrome window it will then download fine.

I'll blame it on me. It's fixed now for Chrome users. I actually wasn't forcing HTTPS on the website. I'm still not "forcing it". But the site/home URL in Wordpress was using http:// and not https://. Now it's https. So once anybody browses www.dsdplus.com it'll automatically switch to https. And then that link will work.

I use Brave browser and it's chromium based. Was wondering why it wouldn't download earlier. I had to right-click and 'save link" before it even began and after that, gotten a "keep?" prompt. Tested it again now and it will download upon clicking the link. Just wanted to download it and read the Notes to see the changes from FL. :p

It is a Windows app. It’s not going to natively run on raspberry pi. And I have no idea if you can use something like WINE to run it.

Got my FL update yesterday. But i am still a novice, thank you to the geniuses here for all the tips!
You got the FL update, or you just downloaded the latest/newest DSD+ public release? I'm still getting the "you are running the most recent copy" whenever I try to update the FL version.

The last Fast Lane release has become the new Public Version. The change in version numbers is likely due to cleaning up the password & email related parts of the program. Updates beyond that for the Fast Lane subscribers will be coming.

It probably depends on what OS is installed on the raspberry pi. I don't remember reading about anybody installing WINE on one of the Debian based pi OSes so I don't know if it's possible.

I think the old DSDPlus public version was released in 2015 or 2018. That was after I dumped Windows and switched to Linux full time. I used it on several Linux distros and WINE versions since then. The base program (DSDPlus.exe) ran with few problems decoding discriminator audio. I don't know if the problems I had were bugs in DSDPlus or because of running it on WINE.

The only SDR I have ever used was a RTL-SDR V4 I got this year. I never tried to control it with DSDPlus or do trunk tracking or location decoding because I figured it was too new and DSDPlus didn't have drivers. I used Gqrx to run the SDR and pipe the output into DSDPlus. That worked but was a PITA to set up. I haven't tried this new version yet.

rtlsdr_V4.dll is in the new public release. Aside from the fact that you might try running it on Linux/Wine, FMP24 with a V4 dongle works fine in a pure Windows environment.

DSDPlus.exe 2.547 runs on WINE, at least on Linux Mint 22.2 with winehq-staging 11.0~rc1.

I haven't had a chanche to fix my .desktop files I had for the old version and see if it will actually do anything or work with the SDR but at least is doesn't just crash.

The help command has "-rp role is passive digital decoder".
What is passive digital decoder? The old version doesn't have that.
