LimaZulu I don't understand from your picture if you soledered on the square one ore the circle one equivalents on my R6 (cause they are pretty different but the components should be similar.... right?)

The resistor is soldered to where QUAD arrow is pointed (which is the circle on your picture) and the ground is soldered to the "housing" of potentiometer.

There was a Motorola compatible software called Trunk88 developed by @slicerwizard . That one did well for the discriminator feed into it. But P25 P1 and P2 TDMA has usurped most of metropolitan areas making Trunk88 near obsolete. Might be very few small areas still using the Motorola Smartnet and such. I wish I knew what it would take to convince slicerwizard to develop a P25 P1 and P2 TDMA capable sdr software.
