Hi,
Can someone please tell me what the absolute current version of DSD+ is. I have download from the links provided here a few pages back but in the conf. file it has provoice (no audio) in the text.
Is this version 1.6 or 1.7?

DSDPlus is revision 1.023. I think DSD is 1.6 or 1.7.

There's only one version of DSD+ that's ever been released, and as just noted above, the version number is 1.023.
/me and many others are still hoping to see a new version with improvements and potentially new features and protocol support like P25 Phase II someday...

Ok...so I just spent ??? hours putting a tap on my bct15 and all I get when trying to find this *^@##@*^ software is a bunch of crap! I don't get it.....dead links, sign into stuff that has no relevance? Nonsense! I would think this site would have better control over this,

Not sure what You mean but a tap on BCT15 only take a couple minutes to do, and if You look at the first post in this thread, You will find the down load link for DSD Plus.

Download worked just fine for me. Took all of about 3 clicks...
Megaupload makes money off of people updating there browser from their site. But even when you update your browser there there is no download of DSD PLUS. What CRAP. This site should be more proactive about downloads and list atleast two site without gimmiks for download.
This site is made up of people like you so that's why its crap.
So you tell us the better free anonymous download site that should be used. Then someone can post the file there.

Who uses IE anyways? If you are having problems downloading would it kill you to install Chrome or Firefox and use it for the download? You can still keep IE as your default browser. You likely could have had the download complete in the time it took to come here and complain.

I hear ya... In his defense however, if the author of DSD+ chose to share it on a more reliable download site we wouldn't be having this conversation at all. I've even had issues downloading it at times.
To the frustrated downloader: Best bet is just to keep trying. As far as I know, no one here is the author of DSD plus, so your complaints are likely falling on deaf ears anyway. It's worth the hassle to get it, believe me - works far better than the original DSD for me. Your mileage may vary though - I hear OP25 blows both DSD and DSD+ away for P25 decoding, but if you're on Windoze good luck trying to get it to work - I tried and gave up after several hours of battling with GNURadio. If you think downloading DSD+ is a pain, wait until you try to build and install GNURadio on Windows. The experience is about as frustrating as trying to nail a jiggly blob of Jello to a wall.

And I agree with you. The fact of the matter is that most iterations of cutting edge software, radio-related stuff in particular, is like this. I have dealt with "scary looking" websites, sites where I had to click on 3 different download links to find the one I want, websites in Japanese, russian and who knows what else in order to get the software I want/need.
If you want to be on the bleeding edge of the radio hobby, you must be prepared to do some work to get what you need. If people can't hack it, then they should just go buy a scanner.
Anyone is free to upload the file to a new site. I personally do not know of another free anonymous download site.
Question for the group : what is your preferred anonymous file sharing site? I bet someone will upload there.
I have to say that Mega has become problematic for some reason. I have been getting a blank screen for weeks now whenever I try to go to it in Firefox.
No problem whatsoever in Chrome, works just like it used to in FF but won't work in FF anymore. No idea why it suddenly stopped though.
DSD+ is a great program though. After seeing the comments here about it I never even tried the regular DSD.

Only issue I see, if there are no downloads of the file for 30 days it will be removed.
From their FAQ:
We do not delete active files. We will host the file for an unlimited time, until it becomes inactive, in the case of sendspace Lite uploaders, unless they have purchased file bandwidth for that file. A file becomes inactive if it has not been downloaded at least once during a 30 day period
So someone just needs to click the link every few weeks
