I was wondering what system or channel to monitor for the City of Alameda Fire Department on the EBRCS system ? I can't figure it out from the Radio Reference Tables.

You'll need to use the control channels for Site 004 (ALCO Northwest Simulcast), and the Alameda County Fire talkgroups.

ALCO Fire Dispatch 1. Unfortunately there are a number of other departments also dispatched on this talk group, so it is quite active. The TAC channels used are tac 3 through 6, normally, and are assigned as events dictate. Pulse Point is a good source for finding the TAC channel if you missed it on dispatch.

Thank you very much! So if I understand you correctly, Alameda City FD operates on the ALCO Fire Dispatch that covers Newark and Fremont I believe? And one other question: Is ALCO FD Dispatch 1 now P-25 Phase 2 TDMA? Thanks.

Yes ALCO dispatch 1 is TDMA.

Alameda City FD use ALCO northwest site as mentioned earlier, Newwark/and Fremont use ALCO southwest site (incl San Leandro).

Except Tac51&52 (Berkeley), I never get reception from ACFD Tac 21-90 though.
For what it is worth, I monitor the ALCO SW site only and hear (unfortunately) all the Alameda City Fire traffic as Alco Fire Dispatch is broadcast on both sites due to the customers location. If NW doesn't work for you, try the SW sites.

Looks like at the end of 2021 EBRCS got some new frequencies assigned to them in Martinez, possibly part of CoCo West/Central and Vallejo?

Looks like the equipment from 651 Pine will be used for the Walton Lane site in Antioch (this will be an addition to the CCCO East Simulcast due to coverage issues in that area).

Noticed today that most (if not all) agencies on the SW site have radio IDs that start with an upside down exclamation point. I have only seen that previously on INTEROP users that I suspect were out of county (San Jose PD comes to mind). Any ideas as to what this indicates? Thanks.

This is only showing up on my 996P2, but my TRX-1 has the normal 7 digit ID listed. Must be some type of decoding error in the Uniden.

I have to say I didn't even realize we had switched. Although I now have an idea why the audio quality suddenly changed a few weeks ago. Audio is usually over-modulated now, and the volume issue on subscriber units is worse than before. Otherwise, I guess the switch to TDMA was mostly seamless. Finally putting to use the uber-expensive, EBRCSA required TDMA upgrade we paid for two plus years ago.

Has 2436 replaced 2423 for Oakland FD automated dispatch? Also can anyone ID the following talkgroups:

3267 - Hayward PD? (encrypted)
3429 - OPD training?
3437 - OPD? (encrypted)
3516 - Pleasanton PD? (encrypted)

During a recent structure fire in Antioch, units responding to the incident reported bad radio reception on EBRCS. The first unit on scene requested everyone to switch to Direct 14 in bank K of their radios. Only Direct 1-6 are listed under mutual aid on contra costa. Any idea how many direct channels there are and what their corresponding frequencies are.
