Looks like a "one-off" for these, but I got this tonight...I was in clear sight of Site: ALCO Northwest. I was in SF at the time of all these occurrences. The top half is Fire of various agencies and the bottom half is PD in time order.

@mlangeveld...You can add Union City PD3, Hayward PD2, and Oakland Parking Enforcement 3, UC Transit - Paratransit, as TDMA now.

Also, ACSO Dispatch 1, Contra Costa Law Interop 4, OPD 3 as PARTIAL Enc...

Except for those ADP ones, I think some of the other encryption logs you posted may have been bad reads. I’ve had DSDPlus report voice traffic as encrypted before while at the same time I have it on my scanner as unencrypted. Usually it’s due to a bad signal that DSDPlus is receiving.

I would tend to agree it was bad reads, but just in case I figured posting it would either get your response or give people a heads up...

Agreed. I also received information that EBRCS uses strapped encryption (specific talkgroups are either ENC or not) so there is no “partial” encryption on the system. I changed those talkgroups back to clear.

Looks like at the end of 2021 EBRCS got some new frequencies assigned to them in Martinez, possibly part of CoCo West/Central and Vallejo?

The CCCO Central Prime Site located at 651 Pine St is being moved. The building on which it currently sits is going away and a new county admin building is going in its place. My understanding is the site is going up on the hills WSW of 651 Pine St. The new site will be turned up before the existing infrastructure is turned down, removed, and the whole building demolished.

I'm not familiar with the timeline, but 651 Pine is fenced off inside a construction zone now, and asbestos and lead remediation activities are underway throughout the building.

It's rather curious that the fate of the site wasn't known when EBRCS was being built out. Millions will be spent to move this site.

Here are some pictures of 651 Pine, just for fun, taken on a site walk several months back. My employer will be doing the temporary power and electrical demolition work in the building while supporting the existing utilities and communications for the radio system.

I occasionally listen to Oakland police patrol 1/2/3 on a uniden 436. Tonight around 10:00pm somecome came on patrol 3 and asked all 200 shift to switch to SRS3 channel. After a whole lot of ack’s, all Oakland talkgroups seem to have gone quiet, now for almost 3 hours. I don’t see any record for SRS3 channel in the db, but from SRS1/2 I see they are fully encrypted. Has Oakland been doing this much? Anyone know their plans, are they going encrypted immenently?

Update: Right around 1am I started hearing traffic on patrol 3 again…, but still it seems awfully quiet.

Admittedly ignorant here.
Anyone have info on Pittsburg PD?
I have a HomePatrol-1 and as of a couple weeks ago I'm not able to pick anything up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

They have switched to P25 Phase II (TDMA), so your Homepatrol-1 will not be able to pick them up. You will need a Phase II-capable scanner.

Thanks for the info.
Do you have a recommendation on a scanner? I was looking at Homepatrol-2 or BCD436HP.
