Elmer needed - Unitrunker for Bell Fleetnet Zone 1

Hi All,

Using SDR I'm trying to figure out how to listen to the following:

Bell FleetNet Ontario Provincial Government Zone 1 Trunking System, Southwest Zone, Ontario

Bell FleetNet Ontario Provincial Government Zone 1 Trunking System Profile

I'm starting from the very begining. This is very daunting.

Would anyone be so kind to either point me to a tutorial I can follow on how best to setup via Unitrunker v2 ? I'm not finding much via google and youtube.
Device is loaded. In VFO I put in the control but I'm sure I'm missing much more to actually listen to it.
I also can't figure out how to download from RR. I'm paid up. In the options, I put <username> <password>. In systems I click the globe and nothing.

So ya, I'd forever be appreciative if someone can point me in the right direction with the cool new hobby blending digital and analog

I'm getting a little closer.
Here are my current settings:

VFO 1

VFO 2:


VFO doesn't do anything. I'm assuming that's where the magic happends and what I'd be listening to.


Any advice?

Sorry, can't help with Unitrunker but I'm sure someone will be along shortly that knows more about it.
That said, I would mention that op25 boatbod can do Smartzone trunking with 2 dongles if you have an inclination to try that app.

Unfortunately doing it with one dongle. I know I'll miss some stuff but better than no stuff stuff I'm getting now.
With time, if I can get it working, I'll add the second.

Still tinkering with it.
Can't get it to login to RR.
Did the recomended squetlch adjustements.
Seems like VF0 2 isn't getting the data from VFO 1.

You will need to enter a custom band plan for Fleetnet. Head over to the Canada / Ontario forums - I sure someone there knows what it is.

For Unitrunker version 2 the squelch should be -50 to start. I see you already have the CC, so all you need to do is fill in the frequencies. I had the same setup using one dongle and it worked really good. Here is a link to the counties for Ontario, select your county click on it find Bell Fleetnet Ontario Provincial Government Zone 1, that will bring up all of the sites and frequencies where you will find the control channels for you area then just add the frequencies into Unitrunker.

You have to fill in the band plan information for the system from the RRDB page for FN Zone 1
