Emergistat now serves the following Counties as thier primary EMS agency-

Jefferson, Amite, Warren, Simpson, and are expanding to three more next year. This puts them as the third largest private EMS agency in MS. First is AMR, then Metro-Rural, then Emergistat, then Acadian, followed by AAA.

Emergistat is primarily dispatched vias a Sat Net from the HQ in Vicksburg, though they also have a dispatch freq in Simpson that used to be AMR's, and are in the works of setting up an office in Jefferson and are making arrangements to use the AMR tower here. Emergistat communicates in Jefferson, and Amite with SO, and VFD's/EOC on the Counties' Hi Band Nets, and with most hospital ER's on the State Net.

Hmm.. maybe AMR will get to take over the radio net from them in Rankin, and get on the TRS there too... After all, Acadian did so when Rankin EMS went bye bye. They now have access on the Hinds TRS to the Firegrounds vias HT's in some ambulances, though primarily still talk to First Responders on the Hi Band. Would be nice if they got on the Rankin TRS, and could add mobiles,.. this could even fully facilitate access to the Hinds TRS.

Anyway that would knock Acadian completely out of MS again.

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ALONG WITH THE COUNTY FIRE COORDINATOR TOLD THEM THEY HAD TO HAVE ALL FIRE CHANNELS INCLUDING THE TRS. THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE OVER THAT CHANNEL WHEN THEY TAKE OVER. ACADIAN TOLD US THEY WERE NOT MAKING ANY MONEY HERE, BUT WHO KNOWS.

That will make listening to AMR so much easier.... Three VHF chans, one repeatered, plus access on the Rankin TRS.

Well, Acadian may not have been making enough money in Rankin County, but they also had some strong motives along with leaving. They basically made a deal with AMR in the New Orleans Area to swap. So now Acadian has a bigger stronghold in the New Orleans Region.
1st - Priority in St. Bernard Parish and the Tenet Contract
2nd - AMR New Orleans Region
3rd - Lets see Jan 1st if the take over New Orleans Health Department...

But, Back on topic, glad to see Emergistat is getting a bigger area.
