I am asking, and I am sure that I am not alone, that any talkgroup that is listed as encrypted be removed from the program that is used by Uniden to program the full database into the scanners. If they are encrypted they are no good to scanner monitors. I'm not sure but I can't believe Whistler is any different

It should be up to the scanner listener if they want those TGs in their scanner or not.

I've found some of the TGs listed as being encrypted are actually not.

Others operator error occurs frequently on.

The ones that are strapped, the scanner user can leave them out.

I would prefer them left in and the end user can temporary avoid or permanently avoid them.

Moved. This has nothing to do with RadioReference or its administration.

First releases of the dB omitted ENC channels. Got lots of complaints. So, now we include them. Get fewer complaints. Mode with fewer complaints wins.

ENC UID display-please

Now if only Uniden would allow ENC UID's to display in the 536HP I'd be even MORE happier than I presently am I personally would not have any need to complain.

Upman: would you mind confirming this is indeed happening? The Louisville MetroSafe system shows a number of encrypted talkgroups in the RR database, however these did not show up in the 8/19 data pull. Louisville Emergency Communications Network: MetroSafe Trunking System, Multiple, Kentucky - Scanner Frequencies

FWIW, I agree with the including them as there are some systems I monitor where encryption is part time.
