I was curious if anyone is using this radio? I have been thinking of getting it for it's small size. I have a Sangean ATS-909 for SSB but was looking for something a little more sensitive.

The e100 looks like a very nicely built radio and a few reviews I have read say it is fairly sensitive but I was looking for some real world thoughts on this radio.

It doesn't have a placed to use an external wind-up antenna does it?

Thanks for any information you could offer.

If your looking for a good small portable that won't break the bank why not the kaito1103? I have the 1103 and it is a great radio. Very sensitive! I paid 76 dollars for mine on ebay brand new and don't regret a thing. I have had the 909 and I think the 1103 beats it in sensitivity. Just read some reviews they speak for themselves.

The 1103's analog design is what turns me off about it. I looked at the Kaito 1102 and have read many reviews on it.

The reason I was asking about the Eton is I could buy one for less than $35. I thought it was a good deal. I have read numerous reviews stating the e100 was really sensitiive, but people tend to over exadurate at times.

I like the looks of the eton's better. I am sure the Kaito are great radios. Almost every review or comment on the Kaito are great. I might check out the 1102.

Thanks guys

Well, I bit the bullet and bought the E100 for $35 including shipping. Too good of a deal to pass up. If it works as good as the sangean and is in the handheld package, I'll be happy.
