Tulsa ANG was active tonight. The last group returned to Tulsa International around 21:00. They were also very busy this past weekend.

You mentioned Eureka MOA. Where is this at? I am still trying to develop a MILAIR frequency database for the local monitoring area to load into my IC-R2. Any info you or anyone else could provide would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah,I've been listening to TANG a lot lately!

BTW-did you hear the other day when Brave2 lost ILS on approach to TUL?

I must have missed that. I am just going by the sound of the jets passing overhead on this weekend's training exercises. I live 10 miles north of the airport. When I hear a group going over the house, I try to catch the controller giving the aircraft a handoff frequency. Because the only radio I have that can receive MILAIR frequencies only has a very limited number of buttons (no keypad), I have to go to manual mode and scan the spectrum to get to the desired frequency and usually miss the conversation. I write down the frequency on a piece of paper only to misplace it before programming it via computer into the radio. The Radio Reference Database here has given me a few more leads that I need to get programmed, but haven't yet. I have my eye on the Pro-2052 at radio shack that has MILAIR coverage. The price has been dropping recently, currently at $149.99. My wife would shoot me if I brought home another radio. I might risk it if the price drops to under $100.00. I did however confirm that from the house I can get the ground crew conversations at the Tulsa Guard Base. As far as tonight's traffic, I heard the traffic on the regular TUL tower frequencies and heard the aircraft take off. They always use their afterburners for takeoffs and at night it is very impressive.
