Bob, take it easy.
We're adjusting to enormous growth since the acquisition.
Over 100% growth in feeds. The DNS changes were to prepare for a huge infrastructure upgrade which is coming. We make changes every day that we don't think will impact the community. Unfortunately, some do. And we don't have a huge paid staff to test every change before it goes out. That's a reality.
This entire system that we all enjoy and rely upon is not run by a huge multi-national corporation with millions of dollars of budget. We have 1 software developer (me), and 4 on the senior leadership team for the major components of the site (Gordon, Eric, Mike, and Wayne).
We are working very hard to communicate with everyone, and we are working harder to build a great infrastructure to support fantastic growth.
So, be patient with us, and work with us if you see problems (such as these). This is a community effort, and should be treated as such.
...and, this goes without saying, but thank you for your support as feed providers.
