Firmware package fails to install. (XPR6550) "MOTOTRBO CPS must be installed before installing this package"

I picked up a used XPR6550.
I am running the latest CPS2.0 (ver. 2.155.258.0)

When I attempt to read the codeplug I get the following error:
"[#101005] Codeplug version not supported. Please refer to application help files for supported codeplug versions."

The firmware version in the radio is R01.06.00
I downloaded the latest firmware package: MOTOTRBO_R011217_130203_PortableNA.exe
When I attempt to install the package (run as administrator) I get the following error:
"MOTOTRBO CPS must be installed before installing this package"

I am receiving the same error on both a Windows 11 desktop and a Windows 10 Laptop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to install CPS 16.0 828 in order for the firmware to be recognized. You can then update it via CPS 16.0 828.
