Severe storms today have caused flooding and Houston Fire is performing numerous water rescues...

As of 500pm CDT, HFD is currently working three seperate structure fires possibly caused by the storms...

Up here in Bryan, it was also kinda bad when the same storm (much weaker at the time) pushed through. Today was garbage day and our (fairly large) trash can was pushed down the street!!! We are still getting thunder and lightning up here, and have been for the last two days straight. It doesn't flood very easily up here, so we were spared that, even though we probably got a similar amount of rain here.

I'm listening to the live HFD feed on www.scancentex.com (membership REQUIRED) and they just dispatched out ANOTHER water rescue...

Oh, they had another one in the exact same spot this morning. It was originally called in as a body in the creek, but it became a rescue of a kayaker who was stranded. They had additional reports of up to five people, but they were never located.
