Yes, I've enabled all service types. Still nothing. You'll need to make sure the Fire-Tac service type is turned on (tag column below). It is not enabled by default out of the box on the SDS100. The TRX-1 doesn't discriminate traffic by service type like the Unidens do which is likely why you're hearing traffic on the TRX

Quick keys aren't required for the ability to scan a system/conventional channels/etc.Did you setup quick keys? I just opened it in proscan and shows none for quick key.
I did notice however that the FL wasn't set to monitor via EDIT > EDIT PROFILE in Sentinel, or on the scanner itself: MENU > SET SCAN SELECTION > SELECT LISTS TO MONITOR so you'll need to do that and upload it back to your scanner. It won't let me make the modification and re-import it, as it changes back to monitor "off" for some reason...Here it is. I hope it is readable let me know if I sent it wrong. TY
What time in the morning are radio checks performed? I'm going to set up my second SDS100 next to the TRX to exclusively monitor the forestry freq's to see what happens. I haven't had time to sit and listen on the SDS for a random transmission, so I want to nail it down. Thanks again.I opened it in proscan. Looks good. You can try in the morning when they do radio checks. Atleast on the FL QK list you can choose any number.

Okay thanks for thatAll the SDS models receive forestry fine. Keep in mind its a mobile coverage system, you may/may not get much on a handheld inside a building. Isn't always a ton of traffic on it outside radio morning checks done in most of the districts and fire weather forecasts unless something is going on in the district. Then, you'll get some traffic until they get on scene and go to an FM tactical.
It is an old way of doing business (including the constant reading of mobile callsigns that no one else has done in 30+ years). It works for them but doesn't always lend itself to listening from afar or compared to monitoring a modern system designed for portable service.
