To anyone trying to monitor FP&L, the system is a mess and hopefully some of you, or anyone for that matter can help to clean it up by submitting the needed changes.

First 6 departments all share the same gps location with a 36 mile range






That gps location sets those 6 here around Port Canaveral which is Brevard County.




Fort Myers is about: 26° 38' 26" N / 81° 52' 22" W
Naples is about : 26° 8' 30" N / 81° 47' 42" W
etc

About 90 of the sites on this system have a 220 mile range sharing the same location leaving 5 sites in their actual areas of operation.

I think I have the majority of the locations fixed. thank you for bringing this to our attention - dB accuracy is very important when using any type of location-based scanning.

that said.

I would most certainly only load this system into your scanner as a Favorite List type entry - and then remove all of the sites that are not anywhere near you. Since the talkgroup listings are very sparse for FPL, I would leave the radio in ID SEARCH mode rather than trying to zoom in on particular TGs -- I suspect that many of them are not accurate. At some point, the way we are grouping TGs on this system probably needs to be re-thunk ----- grouping into major geographical areas is probably not working out so well. Since there are a limited # of TGs that have been identified / verified, it may be easier to put them into a single table.

again - for now, I would most certainly only load the sites nearest you and leave it in ID SEARCH.

I am going to zoom into your picture above that shows the "ARCADIA" site - and that it has a 220 mile range. I don't know how Sentinel is translating "site range" but Arcadia only had a 20-ish mile range - I suspect the TG category range was driving this into the radio.
