It looks like the conversion of the current P25 Phase 1 system has started.

The Orlando Air site (RR Db entry here) is now broadcasting as WACN 9254A, but the sys ID is now 141 and the Site # is 17 with a NAC of 0B1.

Start taking a listen to and submit to the RR dB!

Interesting I Thurs I drove through Flagler Voluisa and i4 til Polk County no new P25 showed up. I noticed on the screenshot it says 9254a.141 the RRDB shows 9254a.197

Has anybody heard any CC or voice activity on the New SLERS-2 P25 Phase 2 System? Also has anybody heard if the State will be using the P25 Phase 2 Control Channel on the system? Knowing Florida I'm sure they will.

Here is a forum for central fl area. Florida SLERS P25 updates appear to have started
2 weeks ago I didn't see nothing from polk to baker county. Appears there will be sysid 141 instead 197?

Ok thanks for that info! I haven't heard anything up here either. Imagine that they are behind schedule I wonder if they have ever finished installing a system on time!

NOTE: This thread has been changed to capture the new P25 Phase 2 transition of the SLERS system. Please keep ALL SLERS posts in this master thread - makes it a lot easier for people to find information.

The new system ID (141) has been added to the database:

Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System (New) Trunking System, Orlando, Florida

Site 17 (orlando) is reporting a neighbor site of 11 on 769.69375 - I would guess that this is the Stuart, FL site.

Also note that the Orlando site is using the same frequencies as before.

Wouldn't having the 2 Systems under one Database entry be easier than having two separate listings?
I get that the Phase 1 System is 9254A.197 and the Phase 2 system is 9254A.141. But we could watch the upgrade to P2 in one DB entry. It seems like having two separate entries in the DB is adding more work.

If I understand the limitations of the RR dB correctly, that’s not possible. A new SysID is a new RR dB unique identifier….. the key right now in my mind is for those across the state to start listening to (DSD+ / Unitrunker) on the existing .197 sites to see when they switch over so they can be added to the new .141 system.

Side note: I have seen unencrypted comms on .141. YMMV

I think adding Multiple WACNs and system IDs to one system is possible in the RR DB. I'm not sure if these systems are linked via ISSI or whatever, but still. There is a system here with two separate system IDs, and I'm not sure if it is linked via ISSI or if it is one Database entry. Take a look here: Metro-25/MTA MRRS Trunking System, Regional, New York

My point is, if 141 is replacing the 197 system, wouldn't it be more accessible (for DB admins and us users) to have one SLERS system in the Database and define the two separate IDs in one entry. Then, when all the sites get "pealed" off the 197 system and added to the 141 system, you can delete the entry of the 197 completely, and SLERS will now be a 141 system. Both systems would be defined under one single entry in the DB until 197 is decommissioned. So that we can actively track the progress under one entry rather than have to pull up 2 DB entries simultaneously. It just makes my life more sense to me that way.

I may not be explaining this 100% right, but this is a chart that I made last night to describe what it would look like: 1730125950774.png

To my knowledge, the system is just upgrading from Phase 1 to Phase 2 and keeping all the existing Talkgroups and RIDs. It's just the System ID and Site IDs that are changing, right? So, instead of duplicating all the TGs in the database, wouldn't it be easier to update the sites? Also, since the Wiki is hard coded into the DB, wouldn't there be 2 Wiki entries?
