Just FYI, I have on multiple occasions personally heard dispatchers patching the Brevard East BCSO TG with SLERS to talk with FWC for interoperability near the port/other waterways.

Once the situation was cleared, BCSO East dispatchers verbally announced “10-66 10-33 Clearing the patch with FWC”. You could audibly tell FWC was ProVoice digitized voice audio coming through the patch over to the analog EDACS Brevard system. It was not mixed mode FWC units operating “on” the BCSO systems TG otherwise I would’ve seen the PRV icon on my 536HP when they transmitted.

Why this sort of patching is not utilized with FHP I have no idea…for years I have heard Brevard and surrounding EDACS counties playing phone tag with FHP through dispatch centers rather than patching.
was FWC traffic overmodulated loud? I recall hearing them keying up and they were way louder than local units, like they had their mic gain set to +20 db or something. Same thing with FHP radios, essentially no noise suppression in their radios as i could hear all the background noises when they keyed up

Side note: I was near I-Drive/Vineland Orlando area today and saw a FHP trooper with both a short 7/800 antenna which was a couple inches long as well as a full length 5/8 antenna mounted to the roof which looked suitable for VHF operation…. I have not seen that before on their SUVs in the greater Orlando/Brevard area before.
could be for SLERS 2.0, since most SLERS 2.0 sites are 700 MHz??

similarly few weeks ago I saw a FHP tahoe with array of antennas (6 whips) on its roof, i wonder why? DF??

Yes there usually was a large disparity between BCSO and FWC units volume levels. It is interesting if they add that much gain and lack noise suppression as our FWC units routinely operate on watercraft and airboats in high background noise environments

I did notice today on some sites have added freqs and lcns. So I have to look into Collier county stuff. I tried to get Hendry 239 and I had to find the new freqs.

I don't see site 109 on any neighbor list. Guess 109 is a backup case 59 is offline? I know Union County uses same site as Bradford 119 and I think Hamilton County uses same site as Lake City 62.

I didn't hear no analog in the Jax area. Only TG you'll hear in ProVoice is FL Sch Deaf & Blind School bus.

Found this pdf file yesterday.
Do SLERS 700 sites provide the same coverage as 800 sites? It appears that there's huge coverage gap in the 700 band compare to 800. I'm having a hard time picking up 700 sites up here in NCFL. I have no problem picking up 800 sites tho

The 700mhz sites are for air units only. That will change when SLERS-2 comes on line, because they will also use some 700 mhz,but for now just air units use them. They don't need to be to close when you transmit from a couple of thousand feet in the air.

So far there is 2 sites 255.
I know awhile back saw 255 on a NL and it was in the big bend area. Today noticed a 255 in Collier county. I did hear some radio tech chatter today couldn't catch where they were at.
