It looks like the 197.46 197.47 197.89 is offline. The Air sites are all up to date besides the sites 5 and 27.

I'm running Proscan (ID search on) on the EDACS system. I'm aware that it is mostly encrypted so it doesn't really matter running a log. But can anyone help me identify some hits I'm receiving? All hits are on the Milton, FL. Santa Rosa county site (tower). TGIDs are
01-005
01-010
01-017
04-070
04-073
06-081
06-083
06-084

In the DB it states "Eventually, this system will replace the older EDACS TRS that has been in place for many years. P25 SLERS will replace current EDACS SLERS" Does anyone know when (if ever) will it happen? Is P25 SLERS strictly for helio/air ops only?

I agree. EDACS is old, but it seems to work for them for some odd reason. They are one of the few remaining EDACS systems in the state. Granted, it's all encrypted. They should upgrade everyone to the P25 Phase 2 System, but I also doubt that will happen anytime soon. They will probably maintain the EDACS system with bubble gum and duct tape until it finally dies.

They had the P25 Phase 1 System, which I believe is now being phased out for P25 Phase 2. I also had hoped they would migrate everyone (State, FHP, Road Rangers, Fish and Wildlife, Local Depts, etc.) from the current EDACS system to the P25 P2 system, but it seems this is only being used for air ops. Even if they replaced the entire EDACS system statewide with the P25 Phase 2 system, it would likely take years to build out a "Statewide" P25 P2 System. Who knows, by then, there might even be a new P25 standard out.

But to answer your question, from what I've heard, I'm not sure if we will ever see a "full" migration, and I'm not entirely sure what the exact use of the P25 system is.

Seagravebuff60,
The new Harris P25 Phase 2 System is a replacement for the EDACS System. They wanted it installed by 2021, but Motorola who won the original bid told the State to Kick Rocks and the State had to make a deal with Harris. This System will have all the State Agencies operating on it and is supposed to be done in July 2026. Of course, they had just started installing the Southern Part of the State a couple of years ago and will then do Northeast followed by Northwest parts of the State.

Received. Thank you for that information. I had always thought it was going to be a Harris system, didn't know about the Motorola part. Intresting.

In the database, the 141 system sites appear to be spread throughout the state. Do you know when they will be installing sites in Northeast Central Florida?

I have not seen no other sites popping up when I travel or when bands are opening up. I have 700 for each county for FL.

Here is what I put together from the pdf I found awhile back. You can try these.

The document I saw said South Florida first and then up the East Coast to about the middle of the State through Jacksonville and Nassau County. Then Tampa up the West Coast to Leon County area and finally the Panhandle by July of 2026. Don't think they will make that date ! Bravo14 haven't you heard some sites near Tampa? If so the may have changed the build out plan !
