For Connecticut users of sds 100….I am trying to get Middletown Ct fire, Durham and Middlefield Fire but can’t get and communication…any suggestions

You don't mention which scanner, but generally speaking, the scanner only scans the control channel and what's heard are the units that are affiliated in that area. The control channels should display as the radio scans.

With that in mind, you should only program the sites that are in range of your location.

Which scanner do you have?

Programming problems? I have been known to meet up with those who need help programming. Do you know how to program? Or is it something else like “I’ve programmed the scanner correctly but it’s not receiving… bad antenna connection? Bad location?

Do you care to meet at someplace halfway? I live in Farmington. Choose a public space such as a Starbucks that has power outlets and WiFi.
