Did some searching and haven't really found any info for fort Mac. Other then the RCMP is fire/ems able to be scanned out here. I'm in a camp close to anzac but haven't been able to spend much time searching.
Well, since I don`t go to Ft. Mac, I really can`t say. Firenet will get busy as the snow leaves and it dries up up their. He is a link to some of the hits I get when searching this forum for Fort Mac. Some of these threads are old and a lot of the companies have gone digital. Someone in that area might have more info. that could be shared or have the RR database updated. Here is the search: The RadioReference.com Forums - Search Results
FireNet is only for forestry firefighting, fish & wildlife, conservation officers (park rangers) and the like. Fire and EMS aren't in the RadioReference database because they haven't been confirmed by anyone yet.
I just did a quick Geographic Search on Spectrum Direct for 50km around Fort McMurray and got around 1700 frequencies between 138 and 956 MHz. Give me a bit to look at the data and I'll post something.
Off the top of my head there are a metric buttload of trunked radio systems that are as-yet-undiscovered up there. One or two of them have switched to TRBO, but at least one is P25 and partially listed in the DB.
Be back in a bit, hopefully with some fodder for you to check out.
Some old records of mine show that the main fire / ambulance frequency was 169.92 which still appears to be licensed to the region. However it may just be a paging frequency as there is it is licensed as a simplex channel only.
The regional municipality has quite a few licensed frequencies. Here is a list;
169.92 is listed as "Aircraft" in the virtual license.
I did find some fire related frequencies in the municipal licenses. I don't know if the FD does EMS; there're no licenses for Alberta Health Services nor any private companies. One place has 158.760 licensed "for ambulance communicaitons".
453.175 - Fort MacKay Fire Pagers
453.4375 - Saprae Creek Fire Pagers
453.0875 - Anzac Fire Pagers
The first batch of frequencies above appear to be a "voting repeater" system of some sort for municipal operations in the town of Fort McMurray itself. One of the voting sites is on Fort McMurray Fire Station #2. The second batch of frequencies are on various sites in the region and are non-specific about what they are used for ("Licensee's stations licensee's mobiles").
I need to correct myself - Northern Lights Health Authority has two frequencies. They might be ambulance or might just be YMM Hospital.
457.0875 - Pagers
The 461 frequency has an emission designation of 7k60F7E which is usually indicative of MotoTRBO or similar DMR (non-P25 digital) modulation.
ATCO Electric is the utility provider and has a bunch of analog repeaters as well as what should be some P25 sites. If you can help pin them down, that'd be awesome.

ATCO Gas has some analog repeaters.
152.045 Fort McMurray
There's an AFRRCS site at Algar - may or may not be active yet.
Fort McMurray Search & Rescue has a transportable repeater.
As I said earlier, there are a ton of trunking systems in the area.
First off, the one that is already in the RRDB as a P25 system may not be P25 - the emissions designator in the Spectrum Direct license implies that it's NXDN/Nexedge.
Tridon Communications has two wide-area systems explicitly stated in their licenses as NXDN and TRBO respectively:

Again, if you (or anyone else) can figure any of these out and submit them to the DB, it'll make things that much easier for the next guy who wanders into Newfoundland's 2nd largest city.
Jay this is Cenovus , I know this for sure because I worked for them last winter on the Telephone Lake project which Is NE of steepbank (Cenovus) project. Our job was on the AB/SK border and Cenovus has purchased OSQ (Oil Sands Quest) on the sask side
I wish I could remember my RID ?? 226**** or 224**** ? I remember we would use LADD 3 up to KM 59 on the telephone lake road and then we went DIGITAL (same radio;;;; Press P3 Toggle L or R to Telephone lake/Steepbank then then ENTER ) , I remember I had a Motorola Radio but for the life of me cannot remember the model;
well I have figured out the two nexen systems, one at long lake and one at kinosis. I'm going back again tomorrow for two weeks and ill try put it al together and submit the info. I haven't been able to find anything in the 700mhz as of yet but will keep searching. Our camp is about 25 kms south of Anzac on 881 and I haven't been able to receive anything other then those two nexen sites and the rcmp on a4 I think.
So been looking for RCMP in Anzac area the only rptr I hear them or anyone on is a4 now not sure if its different up north but its referred to site 70 every time some switches to it. Dose anyone know their comms up there.
