-New: RR Conventional import deals better with huge systems that have long names. Now a number is always appended to the end of the system's name, before it was only so if there was enough room left over at the end of the name.
-New: Speech synthesizer reads out IDs in virtual control (Experimental)
-New: User band plans for custom searches are now preserved when downloaded from/uploaded to your XT scanner
-Fix: dms/dec conversions would be slightly off in some cases
-Fix: Issue with auto sorting
-Fixes issue with an error popping up on startup if you have changed your sound card configuration
-Fix: an issue with custom generated file names for recorded files not working on certain fields such as RSSI
-Fix: In some rare cases, conventional systems with more than 20 groups per system would import from
RR with only 19 groups in a system before a second system is created
-Fix: On 396XT, automatic system replacing during upload would not always behave as expected
-Fix: Unusual logging behaviour in trunk search, CTCSS search and iCall modes
-Fix: Audio files with a colon in the TGID not being saved
-Fix: FMN modulation now properly recognized by EZ-Grab
-Other bug fixes and improvements

The new version preserves any custom band plans setup up for custom search ranges. Ofcourse, if these have never been set before, it can't write them back to the scanner so you get the warning. It is pretty safe to ignore if you don't use that feature.

I do have 2 created, 162.000 - 174.995 & 451.000 - 459.995, they work, but I get the error message anyway.

Ahhh I was wondering why I was getting this... Ok cool... Good show works great; I do seem to have a problem scrolling all my systems though. It's like the scroll bar will not go down far enough.

Additional Errors I'm Seeing....

In addition to the custom search errors others have described, I am also seeing a bunch of the following messages (for example):

"No APCO band plan available for Augusta WV"
"No APCO band plan available for Glengary WV"

I'm not going to list them all, but I have a bunch of items programmed into a Motorola P25/P25 Standard utility called "Allegheny Power". It's an up-and-coming system. When fully developed I'll probably wind up deleting most of what's programmed as I'm probably out of range.... I'm in Culpeper county in Virginia.

Also seeing similar messages for Motorola Type II/P25 VirginiaStatewide

To be honest, I believe the APCO Band Plan has always been zeros for these items, but FreeScan has never complained before, so I was a bit disconcerted to see 10 errors reported when such had never existed before. Also, not sure what constitutes an error.... The upload dialog listed 10 errors, and when I click on that, it launches the Comm Log, which displays way more than 10 rows of text....

Lastly, I've never needed this before now as I've never had any errors while uploading, but I did not see a way to capture the Comm Log output to help create this message.... While the Comm Log is displayed, the "rest" of FreeScan is hidden from view and does not return until the log is dismissed. But I saw no way to export the log while it was being presented. I had to, instead, do a screen capture and save the Comm Log as a graphic so I had something I could reference visually while I typed this message (and also viewed the APCO band plan and Trunk Frequency tabs of some of the reported errors--just to see whether there was anything else I might report.

Maybe I missed the export feature somewhere, but as I stated, I've never needed such a feature until now.

I really like FreeScan.

Are these 'errors' anything I need to be concerned about? Scanner seems to be working--as I am seeing (and hearing) traffic on some of the VirginiaStateWide "channels" which had appeared in the Comm Log. Maybe just a by-product of .NET Framework 4.0?

Not really anything to be worried about. Acttually, they really are more like warnings than errors. Most P25 system don't require a bandplan, the scanner just downloads it when it receives the system.. It's warning you just incase.
The error log gets saved if you select copy to clipboard from the menu. The little log window is just meant to provide a quick summary of whats up.

If you scan a P25 system, download it and reupload later, you shouldn;t get that error because the scanner would have the bandplan and should have transferred it into software. I don't have a P25 system in my area to test that, but I'm pretty sure that will work.
