I just downloaded freesccan and I am waiting for the cable but figured I could get a start on programing. Question is when you program a trunked p25 for 800 whre do you put the dec numbers I did not see a place.
DEC ....If you're referring to NAC, Pretty sure it's here

DEC | HEX | Mode | Alpha Tag | Description | Tag |

1113 | 459 | DE | MCFR AllCall | Fire All-Call |
800 mg trunked ...
DEC | HEX | Mode | Alpha Tag | Description | Tag |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1113 | 459 | DE | MCFR AllCall | Fire All-Call |
thanks for all your help Happy Turkey Day
More well-used term to avoid confusion here is "talkgroup" as DEC and HEX are also used for system IDsDEC ....
Marion County Fire/Rescue Talkgroups
DEC HEX Mode Alpha Tag Description Tag 1113 459 DE MCFR AllCall Fire All-Call
ok so you are saying that talkgroup is the same as dec and hex. So is there a listing for that on freescan?More well-used term to avoid confusion here is "talkgroup" as DEC and HEX are also used for system IDs
You would need to become a Radioreference premium subscriber to import data directly from the Radioreference database into Freescan or other third party programming apps. Trust me it makes programming much much easierSo is there a listing for that on freescan?
looking at the ones that are DNotice the DE in the mode? This means this tg is encrypted full time. No scanner can decode it
Mike
NOT looking to import directly just looking for the spot that has the DECYou would need to become a Radioreference premium subscriber to import data directly from the Radioreference database into Freescan or other third party programming apps. Trust me it makes programming much much easier
Yes I know that looking for the DNotice the DE in the mode? This means this tg is encrypted full time. No scanner can decode it

Take a look at this video. Field you're looking for is "TGID" which stands for talkgroup IDNOT looking to import directly just looking for the spot that has the DEC

Per the model tag on the thread, he's dealing with a 396XTNote that FreeScan doesn't support either the 436HP, 536HP, SDS100 or SDS200 scanners (if one of these is the one you are trying to program). This is a very common mistake. For these scanners, you need to use Sentinel. I didn't see which scanner you are using?
