Frequency counters seem to be a hard concept for ppl to grasp sometimes. The misconception is that if one has a frequency counter in hand, then all of a sudden, massive power is unleashed to sniff out frequencies.

It is much, much more complicated than that ..
Give the information time to sink in, reread it a couple of times, and if you still have questions .. by all means ask!
That thread might be confusing in of itself because I was trying to point out that
techinally (spliting hairs here, I know ..) a frequency cannot be called "analog" or "digital".
It is the intelligence that is being transported by the frequency is what can be called "analog" or "digital".
