I keep hearing sudden beeps and messed up audio on this system in SDRTrunk. Talked to the SDRTrunk devloper, showed him a capture of it happening he didn't know what it was either. CPU usage is rather small. Sounds like 3 busy tones after a beep. No it's not the SDRTrunk's built in alert beeps. I have those turned off.

It was showing a KNOX tone, DTMF type of tone, or some other tone showing in the "From" column not the "To" column then the weird what sounded like buzzing. This happens at random quite a bit.

Anyone else?

Maybe moscad data from station alerting?
is this noted only on certain talkgroups or?

Each time it displays a tone from the source it has a rapid beep then audio glitches out to what sounds like 3 busy tone bursts (sounds like a busy tone when calling someone already on the phone) mucking up the JMBE decoder. Hard to describe it.

I seen it on all talk groups from OCPD OCFD and OHP didnt matter which LCN

Tones would display from the source radio not the destination talk group

I'm sure full encryption came in handy in past couple days. But tell me if I did something wrong. I have two BCD325P2's. One is just as it is out of the box. The other has the Provoice upgrade. I was mainly interested in the fire calls. I was tracking the P25PII fire calls on the stock model. I was monitoring the Edacs-Provoice traffic on the upgraded one. Some time late Saturday night, the P25PII stopped receiving any fire traffic. I deleted out the data and put it back. I made sure it was still decoding so I opened up the rest of the agencies like OCPD, OHP, etc. It was doing fine. I checked again last night, no P25PII at all for fire. I'm thinking i may need a needle to the hole trick (if there is one). Now I do have a BCD436 in the car but I only monitor Edacs with it. (until it goes away). I enjoy the 7AM wakeup call and the "make this day, a safe day" speech.

Check your control channels. They have been changing around recently. I was listening to fire without issue since this whole situation evolved.

Next to a scanner...

Completely agree...thats about the time the control channel changed.

And Sparky_one, yes, there has been a LOT of encrypted use lately. It also appears there is an unidentified TG that seems to be an area command or something (TGID 313 - in the clear). The first night of the protests, all the downtown activity was on the main Springlake dispatch channel, and the remainder of the district seemed to be on Tac 2 (units encrypted on new system). The second day they changed to downtown units were on PD Tac 9 (always enc on both systems), and regular dispatch channels back to normal. Its been interesting. With the recent update to DSDplus, it keeps track of how many radios are affiliated on each group - so seeing the huge numbers on TAC 9 was interesting.

I cannot tell if the cut-over has began. I know the RRDB comment says early July 2020 (right now is in the same window). I did hear system techs testing on Oklahoma Mutual Aid 9 this morning. I hear normal amount of traffic normally heard on the EDACS Provoice system.

All the register, deregister, and response messages in SDRTrunk only shows individual ID's 7 number strings. Only activity in the From column looks like it's linked because the From column show 100000 and 50000 and 300000 series. I highly doubt OKC is in a hurry to finish things off as soon as early July 2020. They just last month renewed contract for until December 2020 with L3Harris which included new mobiles, base, and other related equipment. I found this information on okc.gov city council agenda listings. Looks like new equipment will be used.

From the best of my memory the budget for that is $250,000.
