• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have a g2 vhf hi and p25. It is already programmed with all local depts. I wanted to add a couple more frequencies to my pager but am having issues? I have latest software and am familiar with how to use it. My conventional frequency lists i am able to add the frequencies I want and save them as well as export file. When I go to the listing of frequencies I have on my programmed button which is all scan for 16 of the frequencies, I do not see the new frequencies I added to be able to replace some of the others. There are no passwords set up and I have been able to change frequencies that were already programmed but can't add any of the new ones as they don't appear. Any help? Thanks

It only allows you to have a max of 16 scanning. Did you remove one and add one on the PPS?

Okay let's look at what you are doing...
1. You are making sure the frequency and mode is in the range of your G2?
2. You are entering them in E3?
3. You are adding them to a new knob position and setting it up as MONITOR mode in E7?
4. You are going to the Zone/Knob position in E7 where the scan is set up and attempting to add it?

I have all the correct frequencies in my frequency list. Have saved it exported it imported it so it is there. I want to remove 2 frequencies from my existing 16 channel list without deleting and redoing if I can. When I go to knob selection 1 where the frequencies are scan all there is the box on the left and the box on the right to add and remove the frequencies from the list. I was able to remove one of the existing and add a different frequency from the existing list but the 2 new frequencies I added to the scan list do not appear and I can't figure out why.
