You tell me what would harm someone to get alittle more coverage by adding a external on a GMRS/FRS radio?.

Are you telling me that when I transmit on a 4watt(legal) cb and get someone in the states that I should not talk to him? No No I should not do that because I'm breaking the rules right! Give me a break!

How is this going to effect the GMRS/FRS by adding some external antennas on your home or a car?. NOTHING AT ALL your just making a big deal out of nothing.

1) If I am trying to use teh channel legally, you might not here me, but I would have to put up with your interference.

The idea to to keep the systems ballenced for easiest shared use.

But the idea of BALLANCE is obviously beyond your understanding.

2) I don'ty you CB (So I am not falilliar with the laws), but if US to CA communications is illegal, its illegal. If I wanted to chat with a friend across the border I would choose a legal service.

P.S. What does the CB being 4 watts have to do with anything.
To take it to a level of obsurdity, it is like saying; "Sure I robbed the bank, but my getaway car is registed"!

You will find there are lots of rules in many fields that seem trivial to the casual participant, but are well understood by those seriously involved.

There's nothing illegal about a modified cell scanner in Canada.
