I feel like I am watching a moon mission: these radios are serious improvements over the last offerings in the series, especially if they have (as it appears) made the dynamic memory more user friendly. The size looks about perfect, and the the thumb notches tell me it will be a hit-and-run radio (one-handed operation).... the LEDs will be perfect for night time use... very glad to see 700 meg on the list of offerings... wish I could play with one in the field to see what it will do. Hope it has the leveling of the PRO 96 between a couple of nearby P-25 trunked systems and the Kentucky State Police conventional system... can't wait!

Don Starr, in my opinion, has done wonders for users of GRE scanners.... his software has done wonders for opening up the potential of a scanning radio. He always responded to my emails and had answers that helped me use his stuff and become very proficient at scanning. When I purchase one of the new GRE scanners I hope Don's program is ready for use so I don't have to punch the buttons thousands of times....
