If I see a GSP Post listed in the RadRef database with a P25 frequency of 0.0000 does that mean they haven't fired up a P25 repeater yet? Or does it mean they use the county TRS?

For example, in Troop B Banks, Hall, and White counties show 0.0000 frequency so are they still on the old 154.68 / 154.8 pair? There's no notation above that troop (like others have) that they are using a local trunked system.

Thanks.

It means that there have been no frequencies allocated to that Post.
Make sure that you put in the state band frequencies.

OK, that's what I figured. One of life's simple pleasures was traveling through Georgia when I only had to worry about 4 VHF simplex frequencies. My copy of FreeScan has gotten quite the workout with all these new P25 allocations.

Thanks.

Also monitor 151.2200 analog

KD4YGG I have a question about this 151.22 I don't see it in the database and I have a 436 so I'm scanning all Georgia public safety and I'm not receiving anything digital anymore and the 151.22 is not on the list. Also I'm inside griffin city limits and manually put in 151.22 but the signal is so faint, and the post is just a few miles away. Please help me.

151.220 is a DNR repeater in Henry County.
It is also used by GSP.

And it's definitely in the database under DNR.

You might also want to search... Never know what you may hear...

I wonder why gsp post is using Dnr frequency? The repeater in Henry Co it is a very weak signal. I wonder why griffin post doesn't have a repeater. I may do a search..

Hey Cow,

Is their NAC 295 - for Colquitt Post 14 ?

Also, do you hear the Albany Post #40 on 155.4525 $250 ?

I hear both Albany and Americus from here in Americus.

I'm very new to P25, I've been reading up on this for quite a while and have just now got the ability to monitor P25. Can somebody who knows more about the GSPs P25 system please tell me which frequencies are being used in and around the Athens area? Are there any other P25 frequencies that are active around Athens? Also someone correct me if I'm wrong but NAC F7E will unmute for all network access codes?

NAC F7E is like analog CSQ but only useful in 'real' radios, not scanners. For that, use NAC Search or the equivalent.
For Athens, look under DPS on the State of Georgia home page in this database.

For further clarification, a scanner treats each NAC as a separate value. If a signal is transmitted with $293 or $F7E, you will not decode it in a scanner programmed to $A10, etc.
On a two-way radio, $F7E works for any NAC.

Edited my spell boo-boos.

I'm using a Kenwood 5710. I have the frequencies from there programmed as well as a few DNR and haven't heard anything yet.

Make sure to keep the analog Base-Cars, Cars-Base and Sheriff Net Base-Car / Car-Car in your scan list. These are used as well as the DNR repeaters.

Yeah I've herd the dispatcher talking on the old analog frequencies but nothing on the P25 repeater frequencies. Thanks for the help so far.

Has GSP's P25 project hit a snag? Been a long, long time since Troop A was moved from the 154.680/154.800 split to "stateband" simplex 154.905/154.935. The licenses for the P25 repeaters have been around equally as long, but so far not a peep of activity from them. Did the old mobile analog radios ever get replaced with up to date P25 equipment? What happened?

I know that you haven't been on for almost a month, but Troop B is very active. I use the correct NAC's for all of the frequencies, and have logged RID's on the majority of the different posts. This is done on my PSR-800.
DNR is also active on P-25. Don't use the F7E, and you will be able to hear what's out there.

I know that there are three P-25 repeaters in your area that are active. Could they possibly be on the trunk systems? Take a note, they are operating out of area dispatch centers. Not individual posts anymore.

I get on here an read frequently, however I rarely log in. I've been hearing lots of activity on whatever I currently have in there. I will have to look and see. I know I put some frequencies in with F7E and duplicated them with the listed NAC codes.

Try without the NAC and see what you can hear, too. Troop B also likes to use the DNR repeater at Lanier- 159.600/ NAC 151.
Right now, I'm listening to Post 37 on 155.4375 with a lot of activity.
