What are some of the frequencies used in N. E. Oklahoma by ham operators and what can I pick up on my Pro-93?

One way to find them is to search online for HAM clubs in your area. Usually their sites have the freq's to the local repeaters that the club members use. This is how I found a few in my area.

If anyone knows a better way to find them, please post so we can hear more folks out there talking.

Next to a scanner...
Just put 146.52 in your radio...oh wait that's Oklahoma City... (actually most of the activity seems to have moved to 144.98 simplex lately).

Sometimes club websites do have club repeaters, but there are quite a few repeaters that don't have clubs (confused yet?).

I would just suggest "searching" from 144 to 148 and 440 to 445, as 97.4285% of the VHF/UHF stuff in Oklahoma will probably be in those two ranges. Yes the database does ome some frequencies (usually only one per county, which might be all there is truthfully), but it normally does not include other ham stuff that might actually have more activity. The purpose of the RR database is not for hammy stuff - there are other websites for that (artsipub, etc...)

But really, 146.52 is the National 2m calling channel - you'd probably just have to listen around OKC to hear what the above comment was about...

Do a Goole search for "Oklahoma Repeater Society". Oklahoma Reapeater Society Inc is responsible for the coordination of frequencies for ham repeaters in the state of Oklahoma. Their list is maintained on the website and is what they submit for the ARRL Repeater Directory (which is another good place to find repeater info).

www.w5ias.com for the TARC link system (UHF).
145.11, 146.88, 147.39 are active 2m repeaters in Tulsa.
146.700 in Owasso
147.09 in Claremore
147.06 in Pryor are all active.
147.345 is run by the American Airlines club - not used much but has an interesting net on Sunday nights at nine.

Tell me where else you're interested (or where you are) and I'll dig up more for you.

Here is the link to the repeater society website: Oklahoma Repeater Society, Inc. We just had the spring meeting last Saturday, the database is slightly behind, out host had to upgrade the security due to hacker attacks and he still has to send us the new password. But it's far more up-to-date then ArtSci.

Not a lot in Osage County, but 442.000 (Mannford), 444.975 (Bartlesville) or 444.700 (Ponca City) on the link system if you lose 443.850. That's where the storm spotters will be as well. Bartlesville is currently down but should be back soon. There's also 444.525 in Stillwater if you get way out west.

146.655 or 146.76 in Bartlesville for local 2m stuff. 145.25 in Pawhuska.

444.100 and 444.725 are TRO's UHF repeaters - I think one of them is in Skiatook.

444.725 is in Skiatook... Larry can you advise on the 2M repeater? I had it in my scanner, but I lost it.
