Hancock County Interop

At one point the entire county was without power and landline and cell phone service was out also. I have heard the Tell City Police Department Dispatch, in Indiana, and the Daviess County Sheriff's Department Dispatch communicating with The Hancock County Dispatcher on their law enforcement frequency. I don't know whether they have had this capability all along, and just never used it, or whether is implemented just for this particular emergency. Either way, it seems to be working out really well for them. They are still intercommunicating, as needed, while this is being written.

A phone line was cut sometime last month in Daviess County Kentucky. This casued Spencer County Indiana to get Daviess County Kentucky cell phone 911 calls. In order to relay the information, Daviess County was communicating on Spencer's County Sheriff Dispatch channel.
