I know for police but with the amount of mutual aid Naperville runs would they do it for fire? They have the patch already would they just link to that?

I would assume they like to keep the air open and allow more mutual aid that aren't common to use the talkgroups frequently. One example was back a couple years ago when the patch system was a thing and Downers Grove was responding to one of their Box and they were not able to gain access to the channels as it was not programmed to their portables or mobiles. Only Lisle-Woodridge and Warrenville were able to gain access at that time. It resulted with lending a portable to the Company Officer so that they were able to monitor.
