Using a Uniden SDS200, while monitoring the **Nevada Shared Radio System / NV Highway Patrol / Las Vegas 2 (I-15) TGID 05-122 ** I hear a "Digital Hash type noise. Sometimes its a few seconds and sometimes it seems like it never ends. Other times there is actual audio.
I can avoid the TG but then I may miss some interesting audio.
Any idea what that noise is or how I can prevent it, if possible?

Thanks!

Update- Possibly I have the issue remedied. Noticed the hash noise was always happening when the scanner stop on 1 specific (repeater) site.
Once I programmed the System to avoid that site, the issue seemed to no occur any more.

What site was that? I've been trying to figure out how to solve this noise for many years!

If the noise you're referring-to is the noise I've been hearing on the EDACS system for the past several years, it's an artifact of network infrastructure consisting of both old legacy gear analog as-well as the new digital stuff -- a mess caused by the hybrid system, as-opposed to pure analog or digital architecture.
