This will be added to the list, but at a (slightly) lower priority than some other issues since it involves more intense research and debugging. Would you be willing to help debug this issue?
Absolutely. First thing I'll do is verify that the issue still exists, since it's been a while and I kind of gave up hope of it being fixed. I'll be testing with a 536HP and SDS200 that are both at the latest firmware revisions, against two separate Motorola ASTRO 25 systems that are 100% TDMA voice, where I know with 100% certainty that the talkgroups are provisioned with Priority Monitor enabled, and the grants are being broadcast over the TDMA traffic channels.

That is exactly the type of verification we need. Thank you.

Was wondering if TETRA is in the works?

Not at this time. The focus for the immediate future will be bug fixes. Given that TETRA was never a spec of the original design, it may not be approved for inclusion. Regardless, it will be in my wish list. My latest info is that only a few such systems exist in the USA near NJ.

I have noted this as well - mainly on the SDS series (as well as some other issues). Do you recall the approximate date of your debug submission? BTW, I noted this while scanning only one system, too.

Yes, there are some things "others" are better at. I am going to try to rectify that provided there are not patent roadblocks.

At least 18 months ago Joe, not exactly sure.

There will be updates for the x36 series. I will ask about the possibility of adding DMR/NXDN to the HP2. I believe I can make a good case for that. As always, no promises other than my promise to ask.
That is all I am asking , if it can be done with the 436 etc. should be able to do it for the HP2. Thanks for replying to my message have a great day and again congrats on your position .

Welcome and great to have you on board! Forum admins get him a badge! :)

At least on the 996P2, presumably 325P2 too with the DMR upgrade, while it is stopped on any Trbo be it single site or trunked, the color code, the CC will flash the same way as if it's in CC search mode. Even with the CC set will still flash like its in search mode if set, shouldn't flash.
I recall Paul saying these 996P2, 325P2 the eeproms are rather full and not much space left.

First off best of luck and congratulations

My thoughts on the SDS series :
Biggest problem on sds 200 see this thread and fix,

SDS200 - Unauthorized modification to fix hum ( Post 33 )

I would suggest you start a Youtube channel . You could over time make videos of commonly asked
questions and show how things are done , Example importing from database.
Others will say it is already out there on Youtube . However you would be adding consistency to Uniden.
Many forget not everyone who owns a Uniden scanner uses the Radioreference forums .

This is the channel Paul had on Youtube

Once again this is only my opinion ; I would reach out to the following people and get their ideas.

ProScan ( software )
Mark's Scanners ( manuals )

Radioreference member
https://forums.radioreference.com/members/jonwienke.820387/ ( mods and tech info )

When it does come time to announce a firmware or new product post it on the Youtube channel.
Show us what it is supposed to do , remember a picture is worth a thousand words.

@JoeBearcat A friend of mine has the issue on his sds100 for cold solder joint. He can't pick nothing up even weather channel(s). When I got my sds200 same day sd card went bad. A week later a loud hum came and I send my unit in back to get looked at uniden send me a brand new unit and that day the hum was there again. When @StaticDischarge found the problem with the hum I send my unit to him and the hum is no longer there. On both sds1/200 dmr simplex is having trouble picking up the freq even with 10 feet doesn't see it I have tried different filters and even off still having that issue. I notice on the filters when Paul was getting closer to get it right some filters possible needs work on? I mostly use wide normal on analog/digital Edacs provoice I use wide invert.

I have seen (and still have some myself) numerous questions regarding the different filtering options for the SDS100/200. Some inclusion as to what EXACTLY each one does would be a great help. I get the basic idea of them, but without knowing their function, the names just seem superfluous.

And I would like this concern to now be at the top of your 'to-do' list ;). You probably don't have much on that list anyway I figure.

Not sure if this works on the SDS models, but I was having trouble listening to DMR on my 996P2. Two systems used single frequencies. Instead of programming them as a "DMR one frequency trunk", I simply put them in a conventional system and it solved the problem. I would think that would work for simplex.

I have tried in Conventional DMR OFT still having issues picking up certain schools are with a block or 4 blocks away. I even tried custom search still nothing it's a hit & miss.

Joe,
Last year at this time I had an SDS200 for about 5 days.
The display started going fuzzy. I sent it back for refund.
Has this problem been addressed?
I feel that Uniden should work on the Hardware problems first, to ensure that the units are first rate and without problems. Then tackle the firmware and software problems. I can update firmware and software, but once I purchase the hardware and warranty expires, than I have nothing to work with.
While I had it it worked good on a simulcast system.

To be honest I have not heard of many 'fuzzy display' issues (yet). You don't by chance have pics of that, do you?

I would encourage you to try again. Perhaps there was a bad batch.

As for the hardware issues getting priority, generally I agree with you. However several firmware issues have been addressed in the past few days, so those 'quick fixes' are an instant benefit while hardware fixes take longer, as they have to go through testing and QC approvals. But those are getting immediate attention as well.

I realize that you cannot announce any products before they are ready to be released. I would really appreciate the development of a remote head for the SDS200. It is very difficult to mount those large scanners in vehicles. If a remote head were available, I would immediately purchase 2 heads and 2 more SDS200's. That has been a holdup for purchasing and installing the scanners, not knowing if a remote head will be available.

Noted.

There was a poll whether TETRA is needed in Uniden scanners. 60% of participants were willing to pay to add tetra to Uniden scanners.
