Issues updating SDS200 Firmware. I have tried a new formatted SD card and cable. I keep getting "firmware checksum failure on SD card" error. Currently have V:1.23.20 installed and trying to update to V:1.24.00. Can someone post a firmware file copy that is known to work vs using the link from Uniden?

Sounds like you might need a new SD card. I really doubt the file downloaded from Uniden is bad.

Besides, if it was bad, how would someone else have a copy that wasn't?

He said he tried a new formatted SD card. I missed that part to and had to re read it.

I don't have a copy anymore, but it Shud be no difference than off uniden website. It Shud work fine with a new SD that makes no sense all.

I tried a new formatted card and it didn't make any difference. A copy worked for a person that was having similar issues supposedly and I'm just trying to check all of the boxes. I agree, not making sense.

Yes, I saw that "new formatted SD card" mentioned. This is the culprit! Why? Well.....

Uniden scanners only use SD cards formatted as "FAT32", and the best at that is the official SD card formatter utility:

Also make sure the card is no more than 32GB! The internal SD card controller only works with cards 32GB or smaller (no smaller than 2GB).

Anything else, you may have trouble with the database, favourites lists and, of course, as in this case, firmware updating.

Sorry, I missed the "new SD card" part too.

Did you format it as FAT32 as suggested? Did you "Clear user data" from Sentinal afterwards? Have you tried using a SD card reader rather than the scanner?
