on the 296D are you able to just enter the primary and secondary control frequencies for any trunk system or are there only certain ones that you can or are you not able to
On my 296D, I programmed my primary and secondary control frequencies, selected the band plan for my system, then hit scan. (After programming wanted talkgroups).
If you know the band plan for the system, then no, all you need is the control channel frequencies. You can find the band plan for trunked systems on page 49 of your bc296d manual.
Good, NOW refer to page 49 of your uniden manual to select band plan for your system. You do not need the other frequencies, just the control channels.
