The CPU and or DSP firmware may be corrupt, because it is hacked. It will take more technical skill then you have, not to mention the files needed have been removed from the internet, the cheapest and easiest fix would be to send it to whistler and pay $59.99 for the legacy upgrade.

In the meantime search the radio shack thread for pro-668 loss of P25 reception and maybe there is something in there that I can't remember.

Ok. Thank you very much for your help, i really appreciate it.

Are you positive the archive data that is now in ezscan matches the CURRENT data in the RR data base of this website?

Yes everything is up to date on the scanner and in ez scan.

one thing i did notice is that in the "edit system" section i can not switch the system from "MOT" to "P25". It was set to P25 before the scanner crashed and now i can't switch it. So i think it has to do with the software that the scanner was using that got wiped off during the card reformat.

So i think i should just send it in to whistler to have them do the official upgrade.

Since this is a "hacked" unit would i have to pay for the PSR-800 (unauthorized) upgrade or, since the unauthorized firmware has been removed would i pay the normal?

Pull micro sd card out, then put it back in and test ,

Remove the trunking system that is not working and try putting it back in via library import tab. test

Then Try a different a archive and test.

Glad you got it!

Consider sending it to Whistler for the Legacy upgrade.

Update

This morning I was trying to listen to a roll call on the phase 2 system and the scanner can not decode any audio but, when it's scanning and there is no activity it blinks "T" on the screen but once there is activity it wont decode the audio.

Should i try to fix this or just send it to whistler for the legacy upgrade.

There was no activity last night but, it was blinking "T" on the screen so i thought i had fixed the problem.

I guess not.

Send it in

p25 simulcast systems can be a challenge with the whistler Micro sd card scanners

also play with the dsp settings and thresholds, go to your state forum here on RR and see what settings are being used to dial you in, also stock antenna is poor at best but does work for some on p25 simulcast systems
