If there is no pl or dcs listed in the database, then either there is not one, which means csq, there is one and nobody discovered it, or there in one and someone has not submitted it and is sitting on it.

Hewlet Tones out on 453.325 pl 136.5
Dispatch to trucks on 46.20 csq no pl
Fire Ground on 465.6125 pl 167.9

460.5375 dpl 423 is a low power UHF cross band out of Inwood so you will hear anyone talking over 46.20

I don't know if Hewlett uses that freq with a different PL. I'd assume they'd use the same as all of the other departments for inter-op communications.

So how can Firecom and 300 hear their own units if they accidentally talk over each other?
They can't. That is why all departments on the channel must use the same PL so they can hear all activity to avoid trying to "talk over" an active conversation. Good radio practice is always listen before you try to talk.

But how do I hear the tone?
If you mean the PL tone, you don't hear it. It is sub-audible and filtered out by your radio. Please explain what you are trying to do. When you listen to a frequency, with PL enabled in your radio, you will hear all users on that frequency with the correct PL. If you listen in CSQ you will hear everything on the frequency regardless of the PL.

It was a joke, apparently it didn't work.

So what would happen if Hewlett units would talk at the same time as VSFD units? Who gets priority on 46.20?

On any frequency, you don't talk while another user is talking and you listen and give priority to more urgent or emergency communications.
This is per FCC Rules and standard Fire service procedures.
