It would help us help you if you gave us info regarding your system, City, County etc.

In your selected bank in Win95, find then copy and paste freqs and other data on the left side as follows:
SUFFOLK Con1 857.43750 MOT
SUFFOLK Con2 858.43750 MOT
SUFFOLK Con3 859.43750 MOT
SUFFOLK Con4 860.43750 MOT

On the right side find then copy and paste talkgroup and alpha tags as follows:

PD DISPATCH 57680
1 BOY 57712
1 CHARLES 57744
1 DAVID 57776
1 EDWARD 57808
CENTRAL FILES 57840
1 GEORGE 57872
1 HENRY 57904
2 ADAM 57936
2 BOY 57968
2 CHARLES 58000
2 DAVID 58032
2 EDWARD 58064
2 FRANK 58096

First of all ID's are usually supplied in DEC. Hex is a Motorola format. Post where you are in SC and we can help. The way you posted it sounds like you think that a certain ID matches a certain frequency. It dosent work that way. Pending your reply.

I'm in Columbia, S.C. I understand that an I'D doesnt match a freq, but my problem is the freqs posted for each cell site. How do you know if the sherriff office is on the palmetto 800 freqs, or not. Also for local municipalities, which sites would be the best to program. If you havent figured out yet, I'm new to this myself.

The best cells for the Columbia area would be the Palmetto 800 for Richland County, and for Lexington County. ID's can be found in the db listings for the Palmetto 800 here.

Important note: Columbia PD as well as Lexington County SO have DIGITAL Talkgroups which your PRO-95 will not be able to listen to. I know it sucks. But there are many, many non digital groups still in use in the area right now, though the trend seems to be for most of the law enforcement agencies in that area to go digital. As far as I know, most of the SCHP stuff except for the speed teams, and special ops are analog and can still be monitored with a non digital scanner. But to get full coverage of the Columbia area you will need a PRO-96, BC296-D, or BC796-D. The bad news is that yes, they are all still in the $500.00 range right now.
