Is the Hillsborough EDACS still on the air? I am not finding any control channels active or there seems to be no traffic but its still in the database so I'm assuming its still in use.

Unless they have moved off of it, the Hillsborough Community College Office of Public Safety still operated on it last I heard.

I'm using SDRTrunk and monitoring Hillsborough County P25, but I seem to missing all of the "even" Fire tac channels? I get Tac 1, Tac 3, and Tac 5 no problem. But even when I hear calls dispatched referencing Tac 2, 4, or 6 I'm not getting them...
Am I missing something simple? I monitor a lot of systems, and I've never seen a condition like this.

Did you check a few posts down? They moved to the Pinellas P25 system.

Sounds like you're only listening via the east site #2. The even tacs are only on the west site #1.

You're correct... I am not able to pick up the west tower where I am... Need to resolve that! I was not aware that some tacs were only one specific sites.

Same situation as HCSO if that matters to you. All of the west side district talkgroups (D1 and D3) are only on the west site. Tampa PD and FD are also only on the west site. System users do not automatically roam like you'd expect in a multi-site system as most talkgroups are programmed to only operate off one site or the other. Even talkgroups like Countywide or HCFR Dispatch are programmed twice in separate zones, once for the east site, and again for the west. I don't know why they designed it like that.

Tampa FD moved onto the P25? Last time I monitored they were still on the EDACS.

Is anyone having any issues listening to HCSO? It seems like its harder for my scanner to actually pick stuff up. Before I was able to hear everything on dispatch, now it just goes quiet for some time and then I hear something out of the blue. I'm not losing signal either. Just curious if its just a me problem or if others are having similar problems.

I'm running SDRs with SDRtrunk and not seeing any issues. Loud and clear.

When did it start for you?

Is your scanner database up to date with the frequencies and sites?

What scanner do you have?

Request:

can someone check / verify via DSD+ or SDRTrunk this control channel & site data?

All info for Site 001 is correct.

All info for Site 002 is correct.

Sites 40 and 41 are not monitorable from the ground as I believe those are only used for air communication.

Site 222 I am guessing is now nonexistent and was only a test or something done awhile back. Two of the frequencies on Site 222 are now back on Site 002.

No surprise they were encrypted years ago when they went to P25 on VHF for a brief time. Figured they would go dark again when they could.

Rogue control channel interfering with the West site today on 769.80625 MHz. No site info available, but it identifies the NAC as 00A.

West Site (001) still showing the frequency as one of it, too. CC there is currently parked at 770.33125 MHz.
