I'm wondering how long before Hillsborough makes the switch to the new P25 system.

I would assume they would want it online before the RNC. But I guarantee it won't be ready and it'll be used anyway.

As of 20 minutes ago I heard a little bit of P25 traffic on the new Hillsborough county P25 system 769.2812 id: 702 then went quiet and the channel keyed up again with the same id: 702 number then went quiet so I guess it's the Radio Shop testing the system. So far it's not picking up the control channel (770.33125) just 769.2812 not sure if their just testing 769.2812 or just haven't added all the other channels for testing.

The data I posted above from PRO96COM had 769.28125 as the active control channel on 3/31 at 05:13 EDT so I presume they rotate the CC automatically like other systems do.

my guess is that the Hillsborough P 25 system might have something to do with the GOP convention coming to Tampa. What ever radio system the convention uses Hillsborough county gets to keep all the radio's that are used during the convention. so so i have heard.

had a some affiliations on there today, and a few calls around 4pm. one site, 19 users, 15 groups, 8 frequencies with 769.28125 as a cc. maybe the radios haven't come in yet.

So far for the past couple of days of listening to the new Hillsborough County P25 system the control channels switches from 769.8125 to 769.8062 other than the control channels switching back and forth between the two no traffic heard.
