Agree. I'm using this with my Home Patrol:
Juice MG4 Micro Bluetooth Speaker Pod: iPods & MP3 Players : Walmart.com
Has great sound & comes with short mini to mini cable for use from the HP earphone jack.

How's the volume output on these kind of speakers for the HP-1? Do you think they'd work well sitting on the corner of a dashboard for a car? The lineout to aux jack option works great in my car but I'd like to be able to listen to my music/radio at the same time.

I tried the amplified external speaker route(Workman 715) and mounted it in the passenger footwell but wasn't satisfied after finally getting it powered.

Volume output is quite good, you'd probably have to crank the volume on the HP-1 if you're driving with windows open. But I'm not sure about the functionality of mounting on a dashboard. Velcro would work, but do you really want that on your dashboard? Otherwise, it's gonna slip & slide quite a bit. It does have small rubber feet on the bottom, but this thing wasn't really designed for car use. Don't forget, it's powered by charging the internal battery through USB, so you're gonna need a mobile USB charger or you'll have to keep bringing it in & out of the house to charge through your computer.
