Hello,

I was surprised to see the package showing up in Northboro, MA and the Delivery Date revised to Wednesday Nov 21 when I awoke on Monday. It changed again this morning as overnight the package was delivered to my local Post Office and the Delivery Date was revised again to today. The USPS delivered the package in the late morning and I got my battery!

The battery is charging. I was slightly concerned that the battery and cover would be too big, but I find the scanner still fits well in my hand.

My scheduled delivery is Nov 26th, so it will be interesting to see if the package arrives sooner.

I charged my new battery today, for about about 5hrs or a little more, till the light was green, and it showed 4.2v on the display, and the charge was done powered off. Took it off charge at 4:53PM, and it just went dead at 12:43AM, so almost 8hrs, not bad, not bad at all.

My battery arrived this morning at 6:47am by USPS unscheduled delivery, several days earlier than promised. Nice stable base when installed in the radio - an improvement.

Thank you Uniden and Upman for stepping up to make things right.

Is it a bad idea to run the battery down even after the low voltage warning and the scanner dies?

Yes but the scanner displays VOLTS and turns off at 3.2 VOLTS
BUT... the default voltage warning value is above 3.20 volts. So is setting the shutdown voltage @ 3 20 volts a bad idea vs the default? 80% of 3.7 volts is .74 volts.

Its funny how people how come down to splitting hairs about their cheap chinese made battery that cost pennies to make and not letting it run bone dry.

HAHA> This is what this site has come to

It's funny how some people make fun of others who care about their equipment and want to do the right thing.
