You tell us what you think is realistically reasonable.
It's unrealistic that the FexEx drones didn't jump in and make him put his expensive electronic device in a $7 crushable cardboard box.

My experience with Whistler repair has been very satisfactory.
I sent my 1st TRX-1 in that fell off my night stand with the USB cord plugged in and it damaged the USB connector on the scanner circuit board and also broke one of the case mounts. It fell on a hardwood floor without the protective rubber case.
Whistler rebuilt to new pristine condition and it has worked well since.
I'm very satisfied with their repair service. If you follow the shipping instructions that give they keep you informed.

Turn around time is generally 3 weeks or less however if you reach out to me, I will do what I can to expedite the repair.

By now you probably have 200 people reaching out to you :ROFLMAO:

I urge everyone who wonders about the thread topic to look at this post...

So I have recently come to a decision I will no longer buy Uniden with their 14-21 day repair window and unreliability I’m considering spending more for Whistler, so how is Whistler tech support and repair? What has been your experience?

That's not really a fair comparison. The only way to compare apples to apples is to purchase a Whistler then send it back because it's not tracking DMR trunking. Be sure to package it the same way as the Uniden you sent in. Report back on the turn around time.

Putting the joking aside, It depends on staff on hand and not vacationing, parts shortage, distance to repair depot, other units before yours, power outages, logistics, etc... so your milage may vary.
