When using the avoid function, does the HP1 still scan the avoided channels but simply ignore transmissions or does it not scan the avoided channels at all?

I ask because I'm trying to understand if "avoiding" channels reduces the scan time for the remaining active channels in favorites or the full database.

Thanks,

It skips over them just as a scanner with a locked out channel would do.

If conventional, it doesn't scan them and it does minutely reduce scan time.

If trunked, it doesn't scan them, but has absolutely no affect on scan time.

Thanks. Once I get my favorites straightened out and set more approriate delay, I'll be in better shape than just hitting avoid.

Thanks again,

I'll amend myself to add "unless you avoid an entire trunked system."
