WOW that answers A LOT but also really pisses me off. Now, I'm not a Hunt County Tax payer, but if I was I would camp out at the doorsteps of Commissioners Court letting all of those 'Elected' officials know they can very easily be "unelected". But now I am wondering where Commerce is going or if they are even going anywhere at all?

I just got off the phone with a friend who follows Hunt Co. politics, former Police Chief. And he says the Fire Department issue is being addressed. If you read the FB post by Wolfe City Fire you can see someone tagged Lauren Przbyl who is a FOX-4 Dallas morning news anchor. This entire project was shady from the get-go so I'm sure someone is going to pay dearly for these lame decisions. Maybe Hunt Co. will rise out of the ashes of corruption after all.

When will it be in the Sentinel?
The system has been in Sentinel for a while:

What isn't in RRDB nor in Sentinel is the talkgroups in use. Because of that you'll need ID Search turned on for the system (once you add it to a Favorites List) and then you'll be able to hear everything on the system until the talkgroups are identified.

Once you start to see the talkgroups in RRDB, Sentinel usually updates every Monday, and you'll have to update your favorites list once that happens. Since it looks like the primary dispatch channels for police and fire got added to RRDB today, they'll likely show with the Sentinel update on Monday.

Of course that doesn't mean you can't add them manually.

PD is completely encrypted, FD should be in the clear. I’ve heard Hunt County Fire simulcast on it but haven’t been able to verify talk group

Took a side trip today to Greenville, and let the mobile rig have a go at monitoring Greenville.

Observations:
3001 was entirely encrypted
3031 was entirely encrypted, I saw one of the consoles on it, but not enough radios keyed up on it to determine a usage.
3133 appears to be County Fire, operating via a patch (all radio ID's showed "External", and listening to the recordings it was agencies outside the city being dispatched to county addresses).

Radio ID "aliases" are being sent OTA (The only other Motorola P25 systems in DFW that I know of that do are NTIRN - not all users, McKinney and Lockheed Martin), so I can read that as users key up (even on encrypted channels), which will help to identify usage of those encrypted channels at some point. Harris P25 can do OTA Radio ID "aliases" (albeit in a different format) and the only one I know of in DFW that has it enabled is the new DART system.

Radio ID's are 7540xxx, and consoles are 10x.

Still no signs of life for the Hunt County system.

Maybe after turkey day I'll find time to spend some more time out there logging.

I spent most of today and last Saturday in Hunt County. I can concur that 3133 is in fact County Fire. One call that was paged out was a medical for Celeste FD. Another call I heard was Greeneville FD responding to a structure fire in Caddo Mills.

Other than 3033 which, of is encrypted, no other talk groups popped up. County Sheriff is still VHF.

I've got a week break coming up the first week of March (not vacation per-se, but switching jobs), and I want to get back out there on a day trip, so I may have more captured via my mobile rig out there soon.

Just back from a day trip East of Dallas, including about an hour in the Greensville area. Lots of updates, which will go in respective threads, but for Greenville and Hunt County:

Greenville Talkgroup 3031 has increasing probability of being Fire Dispatch, despite being encrypted. Since my mobile rig captures radio ID's sent over the air (when the system actually sends them) I captured one radio ID label "FSA Voice-FS2" My guess is that is "Fire Station Alerting" and "Fire Station 2" in the abbreviations. While other radios have been affiliated, they have not keyed up (which is when the radio ID label is sent).

Talkgroup 3061 showed up today, and the one radio that keyed up had the label "PW 029 P" and was unencrypted (but the 3 seconds of audio was dead air). Clearly that's a Public Works department but would need more data to create a valid entry. Talkgroup 3071 had some radios affiliate, but there were no transmissions, so there's nothing to base off that.

Moving on, The L3/Harris system for Hunt County is on the air, and likely in testing. Two simulcast sites, 10.10 and 26.26 on WACN 92BA8 SysID 00A. No radios affiliated with it in the time I was monitoring nor was there any transmissions, but there is enough to build an initial submission for RRDB, which I will be working on tonight.
