I'm in the Florida Keys and watching this storm closely. Was here for Irma also. Got 10 scanners running along with HF, Marine, VHF/UHF, etc.... We just got our VHF/UHF repeaters working these last couple months here in Monroe County. Our Ham Club, FKARC, along with Monroe County Sheriffs Office made this happen and now Dorian coming to town but currently looks like Dorian will go more north of us. I have SLERS running on one scanner just in case something pops up even though it's mostly encrypted. Same with Coast Guard, Border Patrol, Customs other Fed entities.

When Michael went through my area I didn't use my scanners cause the sds100 only had 1 battery and psr800 was scanning and didn't hear much when the storm came through. The SLERS was all "E".

Bay County could get more rain and wind than the Keys with this hurricane. I am scanning all frequencies and entities that I can just in case they hit the "In Clear" switch which is very seldom. We've been getting lots of storms already these last couple days. Gas stations already running out of fuel to sell as well as water. I'm already prepped in advance as usual.

Yea people gone crazy here buying stuff like water to getting gas. I'm sure we will get something out of the storm.

A little bit of humor during these tense and uncertain times. I don't intend to offend of upset anyone. My sister lives in central FL and like you I'm concerned for her safety, lets hope for the best. At least people have plenty of time to prepare hurricanes, unlike many other wrath's of mother nature!

LOL iMonitor and Bravo. Looks like it's Central Florida Space Coast that's in the eye of Dorian. The Keys are Out of the Cone right now. Will see.

Who needs humor, these are the spaghetti models available as of 0925 today. Not much different than your meme (which I have in my 'humorous photos' collection).

Scary forecast for the Northern Bahamas.. Wx guy says those Islands will be topographically
altered to say the least along with prob many structures flattened...
Those corrugated tin shacks out side of the resorts are in for a bad time.
Hopefully boaters got their yachts out of Port Lucaya etc.
